Our moto at PS Virtual is ‘We Juggle, You Focus’, so we were delighted to find out our Managing Director Sally Pallaris is up for a Mumpreneur Award, recognising women juggling parenting with running their own successful business.

Sally runs PS Virtual alongside raising her 2 year old daughter Grace and new addition baby George, and has found that being a virtual assistant is the perfect career to fit around motherhood. Skype meetings are timed to fit in with babies nap times or nursery and work is often completed from smartphones or tablets when she’s on the road.

Sally is popular amongst her clients, staff and peers because of her super bubbly character, dry sense of humour and approachability. She’s not scared of a challenge either, and packs a lot into her time besides being a mother and running a successful business, including charity bike rides, 10k runs and renovating her own home. No doubt her adventurous nature helped in her role as a busy PA for top London firms for over 20 years. When her boss Eric Newnham sold his outdoor media company Kinetic, Sally decided to continue as Eric’s PA working virtually from home and on an hourly basis. This concept was new to them and others around them but Sally soon realised that flexible support was in demand. Sally recruited new virtual assistants to meet the demand, scouting ex-colleagues and other acquaintances with similar backgrounds. PS Virtual was born.

The Mumpreneur Awards 2014 in association with Amazon are the UK’s first national business awards dedicated solely to parents in business. Now in its sixth year, the awards have been a great platform for many mumpreneurs to enhance their business, and Mumpreneur UK themselves offers a great resource for any professionals, not just parents.

We now have to wait until October to find out whether Sally has made the finals, which will be take place on 8th November 2014 at The Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire. Read more about the Mumpreneur Awards
